Who reads Askdeclan

We're a new publication, so we won't quote audience numbers we don't have yet. Here's what we can say honestly. People come to Askdeclan with a specific problem in front of them: a work situation, a purchase that went wrong, a conversation they're dreading, a deadline they just noticed. They're adults, mostly in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia, with a local slice in South Carolina's Grand Strand. They read closely because they're trying to decide something.

Ad formats

• Leaderboard, 728 × 90. Below the navigation and between article sections.
• Square, 300 × 250. In the sidebar and inside the flow of articles, never above the headline.
• Skyscraper, 160 × 600. Sticky in the sidebar on desktop screens.
• Sponsored articles. Labeled “Sponsored” at the top, with the sponsor named. Written to the same standard as everything else, and the sponsor doesn't get final approval of the text.

Editorial independence

Advertisers don't choose topics, see articles before they're published, or change what Declan recommends. We don't run ads on our privacy, terms or disclaimer pages. We turn down ads that promise guaranteed outcomes in legal, medical or financial matters, and anything that looks like a scam to us is out, however it's packaged.
